Searchable Terms for ITPR3 purchase    ITPG3 protein acts as both an inositol trisphosphate receptor and a calcium channel critical to transduction pathways and calcium signaling pathway. Pubmed publication ITPR3 searches implicate inositol 1 4 5 trisphosphate and type 3 1 4 5 triphosphate receptor in multiple disorders diseases domains, making ITPR3 gene product a translational target for drugs compounds expression modifications research. The goat anti ITPR3 polyclonal type antibody allows flexible methologies, including WB or ELISA development for a wide range of species proteins, including human mouse rat and rabbit. This ITPR3 antibody is derived from a fusion peptide and affinity purified, reacts to most common secondary antibodies, such as rabbit IgG Alexa fluor conjugates to goat or chemical substrates like AMP. 1 publication ITPR3 details a calculated 304kD for cell lysates, but these products recognize a 60kD band by WB, which is competed by peptide control to trisphosphate receptor type 3.

 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-ITPR3 antibody

Peptide ELISA (EIA)

Application Notes for anti-ITPR3 antibody    Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.

Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 60kDa band in Human Adipose, Colon, Duodenum, Heart and Liver lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 304kDa according to NP_002215.1. The 60kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

NCBI Summary for ITPR3    This gene encodes a receptor for inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate, a second messenger that mediates the release of intracellular calcium. The receptor contains a calcium channel at the C-terminus and the ligand-binding site at the N-terminus. Knockout studies in mice suggest that type 2 and type 3 inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors play a key role in exocrine secretion underlying energy metabolism and growth. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]

UniProt Comments for ITPR3    IP3R3: a multi-pass endoplasmic reticulum membrane receptor for inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate, a second messenger that mediates the release of intracellular calcium. Expressed in intestinal crypt and villus epithelial cells. The receptor contains a calcium channel in its C-terminal extremity. Its large N-terminal cytoplasmic region has the ligand-binding site in the N-terminus and modulatory sites in the middle portion immediately upstream of the channel region. Phosphorylated on tyrosine residues. Phosphorylated by AKT1 on serine and/or threonine residues. Belongs to the InsP3 receptor family.
