Other Notes    Small volumes of LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR purchase    MBS013561 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Lymphocyte Factor, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS013561 kit is based on LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR antibody-LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR    The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the IRF (interferon regulatory factor) family of transcription factors, characterized by an unique tryptophan pentad repeat DNA-binding domain. The IRFs are important in the regulation of interferons in response to infection by virus, and in the regulation of interferon-inducible genes. This family member is lymphocyte specific and negatively regulates Toll-like-receptor (TLR) signaling that is central to the activation of innate and adaptive immune systems. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene and the IgH locus, t(6;14)(p25;q32), may be a cause of multiple myeloma. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]

UniProt Comments for LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR    IRF4: Transcriptional activator. Binds to the interferon- stimulated response element (ISRE) of the MHC class I promoter. Binds the immunoglobulin lambda light chain enhancer, together with PU.1. Probably plays a role in ISRE-targeted signal transduction mechanisms specific to lymphoid cells. Interacts with SPIB and DEF6. Not induced by interferons. Lymphoid cells. Belongs to the IRF family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Research Articles on LYMPHOCYTE FACTOR    1. CRBN and IRF4 have been shown to be associated with response to lenalidomide in patients, these findings do not translate back to HMCLs, which could be attributable to factors present in the bone marrow microenvironment.
