Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of AKT1S1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for AKT1S1 purchase    MBS9361387 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Proline-Rich AKT1 Substrate 1 (AKT1S1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing AKT1S1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9361387 kit is based on AKT1S1 antibody-AKT1S1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AKT1S1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, AKT1S1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for AKT1S1    PRAS40: plays a role in phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT survival signaling. PRAS40 is a physiological target of in vivo insulin action. Hyperinsulinemia increased its phosphorylation in human skeletal muscle biopsies. Phosphorylated PRAS40 is predominantly localized to the nucleus. In rats fed a high-fat diet (HFD), phosphorylation of PRAS40 was markedly reduced when compared with low-fat diet-fed animals in all tissues examined. A novel mTOR binding partner that mediates Akt signals to mTOR. Binding of PRAS40 inhibits mTOR activity and suppresses constitutive activation of mTOR in cells lacking TSC2. Phosphorylation by Akt and perhaps related kinases leads to its binding to 14-3-3. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Apoptosis

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; nucleus; protein complex

Biological Process: negative regulation of cell size; negative regulation of protein kinase activity; negative regulation of TOR signaling pathway; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; Notch signaling pathway; regulation of neuron apoptosis
