Intended Uses    This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated MIF concentrations in Canine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Canine MIF antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add MIF and MIF antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of MIF in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
 Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
 Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean 100]

Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of MIF elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for MIF purchase    MBS046444 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor (MIF) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3.12 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml in biological research samples containing MIF, with an estimated sensitivity of 1.0 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS046444 kit is based on MIF antibody-MIF antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MIF antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MIF. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for MIF    This gene encodes a lymphokine involved in cell-mediated immunity, immunoregulation, and inflammation. It plays a role in the regulation of macrophage function in host defense through the suppression of anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids. This lymphokine and the JAB1 protein form a complex in the cytosol near the peripheral plasma membrane, which may indicate an additional role in integrin signaling pathways.
