Other Notes
Small volumes of INHA elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS266765 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Inhibin A (INHA) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1000 pg/ml-15.6 pg/ml in biological research samples containing INHA, with an estimated sensitivity of the minimum detectable Chicken INHA up to 5 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS266765 kit is based on INHA antibody-INHA antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect INHA antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, INHA. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Chicken serum, plasma or Cell Culture Supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant INHA concentration. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Chicken INHA monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for INHA
The inhibin beta B subunit joins the alpha subunit to form a pituitary FSH secretion inhibitor. Inhibin has been shown to regulate gonadal stromal cell proliferation negatively and to have tumour-suppressor activity. In addition, serum levels of inhibin have been shown to reflect the size of granulosa-cell tumors and can therefore be used as a marker for primary as well as recurrent disease. Because expression in gonadal and various extragonadal tissues may vary severalfold in a tissue-specific fashion, it is proposed that inhibin may be both a growth/differentiation factor and a hormone. Furthermore, the beta B subunit forms a homodimer, activin B, and also joins with the beta A subunit to form a heterodimer, activin AB, both of which stimulate FSH secretion. UniProt Comments for INHA
INHBB: Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.
Protein type: Cell development/differentiation; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Cytokine
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2cen-q13
Cellular Component: extracellular space; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; extracellular region
Molecular Function: protein binding; protein homodimerization activity; growth factor activity; hormone activity; cytokine activity; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding; host cell surface receptor binding
Biological Process: fat cell differentiation; activin receptor signaling pathway; defense response; negative regulation of hepatocyte growth factor biosynthetic process; cellular response to starvation; negative regulation of follicle-stimulating hormone secretion; negative regulation of insulin secretion; regulation of apoptosis; ovarian follicle development; cellular response to insulin stimulus; response to mechanical stimulus; regulation of MAPKKK cascade; positive regulation of follicle-stimulating hormone secretion; cell differentiation; cell development; oocyte development; growth

1. inhibin B levels, but not FSH, are increased in primary hypothyroidism, which is consistent with a hypogonadotrophic hypogonadal state affecting the reproductive segment of the gonadotrophic axis
