Searchable Terms for LTB4 purchase    MBS2515771 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the LTB4, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 15.625-1000pg/mL in biological research samples containing LTB4, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 9.375pg/mL; Max: 1000pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2515771 kit is based on LTB4 antibody-LTB4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect LTB4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, LTB4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for LTB4 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit can be applied to the in vitro quantitative determination of LTB4 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to LTB4. During the reaction, LTB4 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of LTB4 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to LTB4. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the Substrate Reagent is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by adding Stop Solution and the color change can be measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of LTB4 in samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples with the standard curve.

UniProt Comments for LTB4    LTB4R2: Low-affinity receptor for leukotrienes including leukotriene B4. Mediates chemotaxis of granulocytes and macrophages. The response is mediated via G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinities for the leukotrienes is LTB4 > 12-epi-LTB4 > LTB5 > LTB3. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q12

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: leukotriene B4 receptor activity; leukotriene receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; negative regulation of adenylate cyclase activity; chemotaxis; keratinocyte migration
