Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of CEP135 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for CEP135 purchase    MBS7222134 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Centrosomal protein of 135 kDa (CEP135) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CEP135. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7222134 kit is based on CEP135 antibody-CEP135 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CEP135 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CEP135. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CEP135    This gene encodes a centrosomal protein, which acts as a scaffolding protein during early centriole biogenesis, and is also required for centriole-centriole cohesion during interphase. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive primary microcephaly-8. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for CEP135    CEP135: Centrosomal protein involved in centriole biogenesis. Acts as a scaffolding protein during early centriole biogenesis. Also required for centriole-centriole cohesion during interphase by acting as a platform protein for CEP250 at the centriole. Defects in CEP135 are the cause of microcephaly, primary, type 8 (MCPH8). MCPH8 is a disease defined as a head circumference more than 3 standard deviations below the age- related mean. Brain weight is markedly reduced and the cerebral cortex is disproportionately small. Despite this marked reduction in size, the gyral pattern is relatively well preserved, with no major abnormality in cortical architecture. Affected individuals are mentally retarded. Primary microcephaly is further defined by the absence of other syndromic features or significant neurological deficits due to degenerative brain disorder. Belongs to the CEP135/TSGA10 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Unknown function

Research Articles on CEP135    1. Authors propose that CEP135 directly connects the central hub protein, hSAS-6, to the outer microtubules, and suggest that this interaction stabilizes the proper cartwheel structure for further CPAP-mediated centriole elongation.
