Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of GHRH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for GHRH purchase    MBS262461 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing GHRH. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS262461 kit is based on GHRH antibody-GHRH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GHRH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GHRH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for GHRH    This gene encodes a receptor for growth hormone-releasing hormone. Binding of this hormone to the receptor leads to synthesis and release of growth hormone. Mutations in this gene have been associated with isolated growth hormone deficiency (IGHD), also known as Dwarfism of Sindh, a disorder characterized by short stature. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]

UniProt Comments for GHRH    GHRHR: Receptor for GRF, coupled to G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. Stimulates somatotroph cell growth, growth hormone gene transcription and growth hormone secretion. Defects in GHRHR are a cause of growth hormone deficiency isolated type 1B (IGHD1B); also known as dwarfism of Sindh. IGHD1B is an autosomal recessive deficiency of GH which causes short stature. IGHD1B patients have low but detectable levels of GH. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Cell development/differentiation; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 2

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p14

Cellular Component: nuclear outer membrane; nuclear matrix; cell surface; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; nuclear inner membrane; secretory granule

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; growth factor binding; peptide hormone binding; growth hormone-releasing hormone receptor activity

Biological Process: lactation; positive regulation of insulin-like growth factor receptor signaling pathway; adenylate cyclase activation; cell maturation; regulation of protein metabolic process; response to glucocorticoid stimulus; determination of adult life span; positive regulation of multicellular organism growth; reproductive process in a multicellular organism; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase activating pathway; response to insulin stimulus; positive regulation of growth hormone secretion; water homeostasis; growth hormone secretion; cAMP-mediated signaling; cellular response to insulin stimulus; response to estrogen stimulus; somatotropin secreting cell development; positive regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of cAMP biosynthetic process; hormone metabolic process; regulation of steroid hormone receptor signaling pathway
