Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PGD2-MOX elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PGD2-MOX purchase    MBS265269 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Prostaglandin D2-methoxime (PGD2-MOX) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PGD2-MOX. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS265269 kit is based on PGD2-MOX antibody-PGD2-MOX antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PGD2-MOX antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PGD2-MOX. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for PGD2-MOX    This gene encodes a G-protein-coupled receptor that is preferentially expressed in CD4+ effector T helper 2 (Th2) cells. This protein is a prostaglandin D2 receptor that mediates the pro-inflammatory chemotaxis of eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes generated during allergic inflammation. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 3' UTR of this gene have been associated with asthma susceptibility.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]

UniProt Comments for PGD2-MOX    GPR44: Receptor for prostaglandin D2 (PGD2). Coupled to the G(i)-protein. Receptor activation may result in pertussis toxin- sensitive decreases in cAMP levels and Ca(2+) mobilization. PI3K signaling is also implicated in mediating PTGDR2 effects. PGD2 induced receptor internalization. CRTH2 internalization can be regulated by diverse kinases such as, PKC, PKA, ADRBK1/GRK2, GPRK5/GRK5 and GRK6. Receptor activation is responsible, at least in part, in immune regulation and allergic/inflammation responses. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q12-q13.3

Cellular Component: neuron projection; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; neuropeptide binding; prostaglandin F receptor activity; prostaglandin J receptor activity; prostaglandin D receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; synaptic transmission; neuropeptide signaling pathway; positive regulation of G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; calcium-mediated signaling; immune response; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase inhibiting pathway; chemotaxis
