If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of TGFBI elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for TGFBI purchase    MBS016696 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Transforming Growth Factor Beta Induced (TGFBI) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TGFBI. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS016696 kit is based on TGFBI antibody-TGFBI antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TGFBI antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TGFBI. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TGFBI    This gene encodes a coactivator of the androgen receptor, a transcription factor which is activated by androgen and has a key role in male sexual differentiation. The encoded protein is thought to regulate androgen receptor activity and may have a role to play in the treatment of prostate cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

UniProt Comments for TGFBI    Hic-5: Functions as a molecular adapter coordinating multiple protein-protein interactions at the focal adhesion complex and in the nucleus. Links various intracellular signaling modules to plasma membrane receptors and regulates the Wnt and TGFB signaling pathways. May also regulate SLC6A3 and SLC6A4 targeting to the plasma membrane hence regulating their activity. In the nucleus, functions as a nuclear receptor coactivator regulating glucocorticoid, androgen, mineralocorticoid and progesterone receptor transcriptional activity. May play a role in the processes of cell growth, proliferation, migration, differentiation and senescence. May have a zinc-dependent DNA- binding activity. Homooligomer. Interacts with CRIP2, HSPB1, ILK, LIMS1, LIMS2, NCK2, NUDT16L1, PAK, PPARG, PTPN12, TCF3, TCF7L2 and VCL. Forms a complex with GIT1 and ARHGEF7. Interacts with AR/androgen receptor in a ligand-dependent manner. Interacts with CSK, LYN, MAPK15, NR3C1, PPARG, PTK2/FAK1, PTK2B/PYK2, SLC6A3, SLC6A4, SMAD3, SRC and talin. Up-regulated by TNF and hydrogen peroxide. Expressed in platelets, smooth muscle and prostate stromal cells. Belongs to the paxillin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
