Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of ADCYAP1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between ADCYAP1 and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
Samples    Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids
 Detection Range    7.8-500pg/mL
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of ADCYAP1 is typically less than 3.3pg/mL. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined by adding two standard deviations to the mean optical density value of twenty zero standard replicates and calculating the corresponding concentration.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level ADCYAP1 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level ADCYAP1 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Intended Uses    The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of ADCYAP1 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Section Bar
Preparation and Storage    The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Other Notes    Small volumes of ADCYAP1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for ADCYAP1 purchase    MBS2023914 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Adenylate Cyclase Activating Polypeptide 1, Pituitary (ADCYAP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards render a theoretical kit detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL in biological research samples containing ADCYAP1, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of ADCYAP1 is typically less than 3.3pg/mL. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined by adding two standard deviations to the mean optical density value of twenty zero standard replicates and calculating the corresponding concentration. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2023914 kit is based on ADCYAP1 antibody-ADCYAP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ADCYAP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ADCYAP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for ADCYAP1 elisa kit

Principle of the assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ADCYAP1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to ADCYAP1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain ADCYAP1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm 10nm. The concentration of ADCYAP1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for ADCYAP1    This gene encodes a secreted proprotein that is further processed into multiple mature peptides. These peptides stimulate adenylate cyclase and increase cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels, resulting in the transcriptional activation of target genes. The products of this gene are key mediators of neuroendocrine stress responses. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]
