Intended Uses    This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated APOA4 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human APOA4 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add APOA4 and APOA4 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of APOA4 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
 Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
 Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean 100]

Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C
Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of APOA4 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for APOA4 purchase    MBS026183 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Apolipoprotein A4 (APOA4) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3.12 mug/ml - 100 mug/ml in biological research samples containing APOA4, with an estimated sensitivity of 1.0 ug/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS026183 kit is based on APOA4 antibody-APOA4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect APOA4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, APOA4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for APOA4    Apoliprotein (apo) A-IV gene contains 3 exons separated by two introns. A sequence polymorphism has been identified in the 3'UTR of the third exon. The primary translation product is a 396-residue preprotein which after proteolytic processing is secreted its primary site of synthesis, the intestine, in association with chylomicron particles. Although its precise function is not known, apo A-IV is a potent activator of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase in vitro. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for APOA4    APOA4: May have a role in chylomicrons and VLDL secretion and catabolism. Required for efficient activation of lipoprotein lipase by ApoC-II; potent activator of LCAT. Apoa-IV is a major component of HDL and chylomicrons. Synthesized primarily in the intestine and secreted in plasma. Belongs to the apolipoprotein A1/A4/E family.
