Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human BNIP3L. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human BNIP3L and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
Samples    Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, Cell lysates
 Assay Type    Sandwich
 Detection Range    0.312 ng/ml -20 ng/ml.
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of human BNIP3L is typically less than 0.078 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Preparation and Storage    Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of BNIP3L elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for BNIP3L purchase    MBS903923 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19kDa interacting protein 3-like (BNIP3L) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.312 ng/ml -20 ng/ml in biological research samples containing BNIP3L, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of human BNIP3L is typically less than 0.078 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS903923 kit is based on BNIP3L antibody-BNIP3L antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect BNIP3L antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, BNIP3L. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, Cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for BNIP3L elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for BNIP3L has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any BNIP3L present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for BNIP3L is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of BNIP3L bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for BNIP3L    This gene is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kd-interacting protein (BNIP) family. It interacts with the E1B 19 kDa protein, which protects cells from virally-induced cell death. The encoded protein also interacts with E1B 19 kDa-like sequences of BCL2, another apoptotic protector. This protein counteracts the apoptotic inducer BNIP3 and may play a role in tumor suppression. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for BNIP3L    BNIP3L: Induces apoptosis. Interacts with viral and cellular anti-apoptosis proteins. Can overcome the suppressors BCL-2 and BCL-XL, although high levels of BCL-XL expression will inhibit apoptosis. Inhibits apoptosis induced by BNIP3. Involved in mitochondrial quality control via its interaction with SPATA18/MIEAP: in response to mitochondrial damage, participates to mitochondrial protein catabolic process (also named MALM) leading to the degradation of damaged proteins inside mitochondria. May function as a tumor suppressor. Self-associates. Interacts with BNIP3 and STEAP3. Interacts with SPATA18/MIEAP. Interacts with human adenovirus-2 E1B 19 kDa protein. Belongs to the NIP3 family.
