Searchable Terms for BMP6 purchase    MBS009136 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich (Quantitative) ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 (BMP6) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.625 ng/ml - 20 ng/ml in biological research samples containing BMP6, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.1 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS009136 kit is based on BMP6 antibody-BMP6 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect BMP6 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, BMP6. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Undiluted original Human body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions or feces samples. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for BMP6    The bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by an ability of demineralized bone extract to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo in an extraskeletal site. Based on its expression early in embryogenesis, the BMP encoded by this gene has a proposed role in early development. In addition, the fact that this BMP is closely related to BMP5 and BMP7 has lead to speculation of possible bone inductive activity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
