Searchable Terms for CBL purchase    MBS943423 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich (Quantitative) ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Cas-Br-M (murine) ecotropic retroviral transforming sequence (CBL) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 25 pg/ml-1600 pg/ml in biological research samples containing CBL, with an estimated sensitivity of 6.25 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS943423 kit is based on CBL antibody-CBL antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CBL antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CBL. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for CBL elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CBL has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CBL present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CBL is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CBL bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for CBL    This gene is a proto-oncogene that encodes a RING finger E3 ubiquitin ligase. The encoded protein is one of the enzymes required for targeting substrates for degradation by the proteasome. This protein mediates the transfer of ubiquitin from ubiquitin conjugating enzymes (E2) to specific substrates. This protein also contains an N-terminal phosphotyrosine binding domain that allows it to interact with numerous tyrosine-phosphorylated substrates and target them for proteasome degradation. As such it functions as a negative regulator of many signal transduction pathways. This gene has been found to be mutated or translocated in many cancers including acute myeloid leukaemia. Mutations in this gene are also the cause of Noonan syndrome-like disorder. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2012]

UniProt Comments for CBL    CBL: an adapter protein that functions as a negative regulator of many signaling pathways that start from receptors at the cell surface. Acts as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, which accepts ubiquitin from specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, and then transfers it to substrates promoting their degradation by the proteasome. Recognizes activated receptor tyrosine kinases, including PDGFA, EGF and CSF1, and terminates signaling. Participates in signal transduction in hematopoietic cells.

Research Articles on CBL    1. The results suggest that proteins, post-translational modifications or mutations that alter structural flexibility of the TKB domain of Cbl-family proteins could regulate their binding to target phosphoproteins and thereby, affect PTK-mediated signalling.
