Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Human FGF6. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human FGF6 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Human FGF6 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Other Notes    Small volumes of FGF6 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FGF6 purchase    MBS2510046 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the FGF6, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 93.75-6000pg/mL in biological research samples containing FGF6, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 56.25pg/mL; Max: 6000pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2510046 kit is based on FGF6 antibody-FGF6 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FGF6 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FGF6. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for FGF6 elisa kit

Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of FGF6 in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human FGF6. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human FGF6 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human FGF6, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human FGF6. You can calculate the concentration of Human FGF6 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for FGF6    The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This gene displayed oncogenic transforming activity when transfected into mammalian cells. The mouse homolog of this gene exhibits a restricted expression profile predominantly in the myogenic lineage, which suggested a role in muscle regeneration or differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
