Preparation and Storage    For unopened kit, all the reagents should be kept according to the label on each vial. The Standard, Detection Reagent A, Detection Reagent B and the 96-well strip plate should be stored at -20 degree C while others should be at 4 degree C.
Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of FGF13 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FGF13 purchase    MBS2022927 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 15.6-1,000pg/mL in biological research samples containing FGF13, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 6.6pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2022927 kit is based on FGF13 antibody-FGF13 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FGF13 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FGF13. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for FGF13 elisa kit

Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of FGF13 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to FGF13. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to FGF13. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain FGF13, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of FGF13 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

UniProt Comments for FGF13    FGF13: Microtubule-binding protein which directly binds tubulin and is involved in both polymerization and stabilization of microtubules. Through its action on microtubules, may participate to the refinement of axons by negatively regulating axonal and leading processes branching. Plays a crucial role in neuron polarization and migration in the cerebral cortex and the hippocampus. Belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Nucleolus; Cell development/differentiation

Cellular Component: microtubule; neuron projection; cell projection; growth cone; axon; dendrite; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; extracellular region; cytosol; nucleus; filopodium

Molecular Function: growth factor activity; sodium channel regulator activity; microtubule binding; beta-tubulin binding; protein kinase activator activity; receptor binding

Biological Process: nervous system development; apoptosis; negative regulation of microtubule depolymerization; establishment of neuroblast polarity; hippocampus development; neuron migration; MAPKKK cascade; learning; negative regulation of collateral sprouting; memory; cell proliferation; cerebral cortex cell migration; positive regulation of protein kinase activity; microtubule polymerization
