Preparation and Storage    The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification    Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials manufactured on site. Coordinated product portfolio of antibodies, pairs, conjugates, recombinant proteins, and immunoassay materials available. Please inquire.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of FGF18 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FGF18 purchase    MBS2024710 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive Inhibition ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 31.2-500pg/mL in biological research samples containing FGF18, with an estimated sensitivity of < 14.5pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2024710 kit is based on FGF18 antibody-FGF18 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FGF18 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FGF18. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates, Cell culture supernates and Other Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for FGF18 elisa kit

This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) and unlabeled Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) in the sample.

NCBI Summary for FGF18    The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. It has been shown in vitro that this protein is able to induce neurite outgrowth in PC12 cells. Studies of the similar proteins in mouse and chick suggested that this protein is a pleiotropic growth factor that stimulates proliferation in a number of tissues, most notably the liver and small intestine. Knockout studies of the similar gene in mice implied the role of this protein in regulating proliferation and differentiation of midline cerebellar structures. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
