Searchable Terms for Grb14 purchase    MBS2504806 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Grb14, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL in biological research samples containing Grb14, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 0.094ng/mL; Max: 10ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2504806 kit is based on Grb14 antibody-Grb14 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Grb14 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, Grb14. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for Grb14 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human Grb14 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Grb14. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Grb14 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Grb14, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Grb14. You can calculate the concentration of Grb14 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for Grb14    The product of this gene belongs to a small family of adapter proteins that are known to interact with a number of receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules. This gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that interacts with insulin receptors and insulin-like growth-factor receptors. This protein likely has an inhibitory effect on receptor tyrosine kinase signaling and, in particular, on insulin receptor signaling. This gene may play a role in signaling pathways that regulate growth and metabolism. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]

UniProt Comments for Grb14    GRB14: Adapter protein which modulates coupling of cell surface receptor kinases with specific signaling pathways. Binds to, and suppresses signals from, the activated insulin receptor (INSR). Potent inhibitor of insulin-stimulated MAPK3 phosphorylation. Plays a critical role regulating PDPK1 membrane translocation in response to insulin stimulation and serves as an adapter protein to recruit PDPK1 to activated insulin receptor, thus promoting PKB/AKT1 phosphorylation and transduction of the insulin signal. Belongs to the GRB7/10/14 family.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q22-q24

Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; endosome membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: SH3/SH2 adaptor activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of signal transduction; blood coagulation; signal transduction; leukocyte migration
