Preparation and Storage    The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification    Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials manufactured on site. Coordinated product portfolio of antibodies, pairs, conjugates, recombinant proteins, and immunoassay materials available. Please inquire.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of KLK14 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for KLK14 purchase    MBS2023340 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive Inhibition ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 123.46-10000pg/mL in biological research samples containing KLK14, with an estimated sensitivity of < 43.2pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2023340 kit is based on KLK14 antibody-KLK14 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect KLK14 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, KLK14. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Tissue homogenates and Other Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for KLK14 elisa kit

This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) and unlabeled Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Kallikrein 14 (KLK14). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Kallikrein 14 (KLK14) in the sample.

NCBI Summary for KLK14    This gene encodes a member of the kallikrein subfamily of serine proteases that have diverse physiological functions such as regulation of blood pressure and desquamation. The altered expression of this gene is implicated in the progression of different cancers including breast and prostate tumors. The encoded protein is a precursor that is proteolytically processed to generate the functional enzyme. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]

UniProt Comments for KLK14    KLK14: Serine-type endopeptidase with a dual trypsin-like and chymotrypsin-like substrate specificity. May activate/inactivate the proteinase-activated receptors F2R, F2RL1 and F2RL3 and other kallikreins including KLK1, KLK3, KLK5 and KLK11. May function in seminal clot liquefaction through direct cleavage of the semenogelin SEMG1 and SEMG2 and activation of KLK3. May function through desmoglein DSG1 cleavage in epidermal desquamation a process by which the most superficial corneocytes are shed from the skin surface. May be involved in several aspects of tumor progression including growth, invasion and angiogenesis. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Kallikrein subfamily.
