Searchable Terms for LAMa5 purchase    MBS9308671 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Laminin Alpha 5 (LAMa5) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3.12 ng/ml - 100 ng/ml in biological research samples containing LAMa5, with an estimated sensitivity of 1.0 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9308671 kit is based on LAMa5 antibody-LAMa5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect LAMa5 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, LAMa5. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Undiluted original Human body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions or feces samples. This kit is NOT suitable for assaying non-biological sources of substances. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for LAMa5    This gene encodes one of the vertebrate laminin alpha chains. Laminins, a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins, are the major noncollagenous constituent of basement membranes. They have been implicated in a wide variety of biological processes including cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth and metastasis. Laminins are composed of 3 non identical chains: laminin alpha, beta and gamma (formerly A, B1, and B2, respectively) and they form a cruciform structure consisting of 3 short arms, each formed by a different chain, and a long arm composed of all 3 chains. Each laminin chain is a multidomain protein encoded by a distinct gene. The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha-5 subunit of of laminin-10 (laminin-511), laminin-11 (laminin-521) and laminin-15 (laminin-523). [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]
