Preparation and Storage    The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification    Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials manufactured on site. Coordinated product portfolio of antibodies, pairs, conjugates, recombinant proteins, and immunoassay materials available. Please inquire.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of MASP1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for MASP1 purchase    MBS2018944 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Double-antibody Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Mannose Associated Serine Protease 1 (MASP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 93.75-6000pg/mL in biological research samples containing MASP1, with an estimated sensitivity of < 42.57pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2018944 kit is based on MASP1 antibody-MASP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MASP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MASP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma and Other Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for MASP1 elisa kit

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mannose Associated Serine Protease 1 (MASP1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mannose Associated Serine Protease 1 (MASP1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mannose Associated Serine Protease 1 (MASP1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mannose Associated Serine Protease 1 (MASP1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for MASP1    This gene encodes a serine protease that functions as a component of the lectin pathway of complement activation. The complement pathway plays an essential role in the innate and adaptive immune response. The encoded protein is synthesized as a zymogen and is activated when it complexes with the pathogen recognition molecules of lectin pathway, the mannose-binding lectin and the ficolins. This protein is not directly involved in complement activation but may play a role as an amplifier of complement activation by cleaving complement C2 or by activating another complement serine protease, MASP-2. The encoded protein is also able to cleave fibrinogen and factor XIII and may may be involved in coagulation. A splice variant of this gene which lacks the serine protease domain functions as an inhibitor of the complement pathway. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]

UniProt Comments for MASP1    MASP1: Functions in the lectin pathway of complement, which performs a key role in innate immunity by recognizing pathogens through patterns of sugar moieties and neutralizing them. The lectin pathway is triggered upon binding of mannan-binding lectin (MBL) and ficolins to sugar moieties which leads to activation of the associated proteases MASP1 and MASP2. Functions as an endopeptidase and may activate MASP2 or C2 or directly activate C3 the key component of complement reaction. Isoform 2 may have an inhibitory effect on the activation of the lectin pathway of complement or may cleave IGFBP5. Defects in MASP1 are the cause of 3MC syndrome type 1 (3MC1). 3MC1 is a disorder characterized by facial dysmorphism that includes hypertelorism, blepharophimosis, blepharoptosis and highly arched eyebrows, cleft lip and/or palate, craniosynostosis, learning disability and genital, limb and vesicorenal anomalies. The term 3MC syndrome includes Carnevale, Mingarelli, Malpuech, and Michels syndromes. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Research Articles on MASP1    1. Because MASP-1 and MASP-2 have been shown to interact directly with blood coagulation, elevated levels of these proteins may play a role in the enhanced thrombotic environment and consequent vascular complications in diabetes.
