Searchable Terms for MIS purchase    MBS264490 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Mullerian Inhibiting Substance (MIS) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing MIS, with an estimated sensitivity of Up to 0.05 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS264490 kit is based on MIS antibody-MIS antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MIS antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MIS. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Human serum, plasma or cell culture supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant MIS concentration. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for MIS elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human MIS monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for MIS    Anti-Mullerian hormone is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta gene family which mediates male sexual differentiation. Anti-Mullerian hormone causes the regression of Mullerian ducts which would otherwise differentiate into the uterus and fallopian tubes. Some mutations in the anti-Mullerian hormone result in persistent Mullerian duct syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for MIS    AMH: This glycoprotein, produced by the Sertoli cells of the testis, causes regression of the Muellerian duct. It is also able to inhibit the growth of tumors derived from tissues of Muellerian duct origin. Defects in AMH are the cause of persistent Muellerian duct syndrome type 1 (PMDS1). PMDS1 is a form of male pseudohermaphroditism characterized by a failure of Muellerian duct regression in otherwise normal males. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.
