Preparation and Storage    For unopened kit: All the reagents should be kept according to the labels on vials. The Standard, Detection Reagent A, Detection Reagent B and the 96-well strip plate should be stored at -20 degree C upon receipt while the others should be at 4 degree C.

For opened kit: When the kit is opened, the remaining reagents still need to be stored according to the above storage condition. Besides, please return the unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack, and reseal along entire edge of zip-seal.

The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay.
Other Notes    Small volumes of MCL1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for MCL1 purchase    MBS2019617 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related (MCL1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.313-20ng/mL in biological research samples containing MCL1, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 0.114ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2019617 kit is based on MCL1 antibody-MCL1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MCL1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MCL1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for MCL1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related (MCL1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related (MCL1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related (MCL1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Myeloid Cell Leukemia Sequence 1, Bcl2 Related (MCL1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for MCL1    This gene encodes an anti-apoptotic protein, which is a member of the Bcl-2 family. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. The longest gene product (isoform 1) enhances cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis while the alternatively spliced shorter gene products (isoform 2 and isoform 3) promote apoptosis and are death-inducing. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for MCL1    MCL1: a myeloid cell leukemia protein of the Bcl-2 family of proteins. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. The longer gene product (isoform 1) enhances cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis while the alternatively spliced shorter gene product (isoform 2) promotes apoptosis and is death-inducing.
