If the format of this assay is important to you then please contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay.
Other Notes    Small volumes of KCNK3 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for KCNK3 purchase    MBS9306668 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Potassium channel subfamily K member 3, KCNK3, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing KCNK3. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9306668 kit is based on KCNK3 antibody-KCNK3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect KCNK3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, KCNK3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for KCNK3    This gene encodes a member of the superfamily of potassium channel proteins that contain two pore-forming P domains. The encoded protein is an outwardly rectifying channel that is sensitive to changes in extracellular pH and is inhibited by extracellular acidification. Also referred to as an acid-sensitive potassium channel, it is activated by the anesthetics halothane and isoflurane. Although three transcripts are detected in northern blots, there is currently no sequence available to confirm transcript variants for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]

UniProt Comments for KCNK3    KCNK3: pH-dependent, voltage-insensitive, background potassium channel protein. Rectification direction results from potassium ion concentration on either side of the membrane. Acts as an outward rectifier when external potassium concentration is low. When external potassium concentration is high, current is inward. Widespread expression in adult. Strongest expression in pancreas and placenta. Lower expression in brain, lung, prostate, heart, kidney, uterus, small intestine and colon. Belongs to the two pore domain potassium channel (TC 1.A.1.8) family.
