Product Description specifically for PKCdelta1 elisa kit

   Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- PKCdelta1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- PKCdelta1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRPStreptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the PKCdelta1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of PKCdelta1 can be calculated.

 NCBI Summary for PKCdelta1    Protein kinase C (PKC) is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and the second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. PKC family members also serve as major receptors for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters. Each member of the PKC family has a specific expression profile and is believed to play distinct roles in cells. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the PKC family members. Studies both in human and mice demonstrate that this kinase is involved in B cell signaling and in the regulation of growth, apoptosis, and differentiation of a variety of cell types.
