Other Notes    Small volumes of TE elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for TE purchase    MBS264236 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Telomerase (TE) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 50 ng/ml-0.78 ng/ml in biological research samples containing TE, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.08 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS264236 kit is based on TE antibody-TE antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TE antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TE. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Human serum, plasma or Cell Culture Supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant TE concentration. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for TE elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human TE monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for TE    Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein polymerase that maintains telomere ends by addition of the telomere repeat TTAGGG. The enzyme consists of a protein component with reverse transcriptase activity, encoded by this gene, and an RNA component which serves as a template for the telomere repeat. Telomerase expression plays a role in cellular senescence, as it is normally repressed in postnatal somatic cells resulting in progressive shortening of telomeres. Deregulation of telomerase expression in somatic cells may be involved in oncogenesis. Studies in mouse suggest that telomerase also participates in chromosomal repair, since de novo synthesis of telomere repeats may occur at double-stranded breaks. Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms of telomerase reverse transcriptase have been identified; the full-length sequence of some variants has not been determined. Alternative splicing at this locus is thought to be one mechanism of regulation of telomerase activity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for TE    TERT: telomerase reverse transcriptase is a ribonucleoprotein polymerase that maintains telomere ends by addition of the telomere repeat TTAGGG. The holoenzyme consists of TERT and an RNA component which serves as a template for the telomere repeat. Alternatively spliced isoforms have been identified, although the full-length sequence of some variants has not been determined.

Research Articles on TE    1. findings showed TERT expression was increased in almost all tumors with promoter mutations regardless of methylation status, while it was inversely correlated with methylation levels in tumors without mutations; data suggest promoter mutation is the major mechanism of TERT upregulation at least in adult gliomas
