Searchable Terms for TGM6 purchase    MBS2533332 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Transglutaminase-6 (TGM6) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1.563-100mIU/mL in biological research samples containing TGM6, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 0.938mIU/mL; Max: 100mIU/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2533332 kit is based on TGM6 antibody-TGM6 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TGM6 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TGM6. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for TGM6 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the invitro quantitative determination of HumanTGM6concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to TGM6. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for TGM6and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain TGM6, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of TGM6.You can calculate the concentration of TGM6in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for TGM6    The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the transglutaminase superfamily. It catalyzes the cross-linking of proteins and the conjugation of polyamines to proteins. Mutations in this gene are associated with spinocerebellar ataxia type 35 (SCA35). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for TGM6    TGM6: an enzyme of the transglutaminase family that catalyzes the crosslinking of proteins and the conjugation of polyamines to proteins. While the primary structure of transglutaminases is not conserved, they all have the same amino acid sequence at their active sites and their activity is calcium-dependent. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: EC; Transferase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p13

Cellular Component: cytoplasm

Molecular Function: metal ion binding; protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase activity

Biological Process: peptide cross-linking

Disease: Spinocerebellar Ataxia 35
