Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of VCC1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for VCC1 purchase    MBS452608 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the VEGF Co Regulated Chemokine 1 (VCC1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 15.625-1000pg/mL in biological research samples containing VCC1, with an estimated sensitivity of 4.7pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS452608 kit is based on VCC1 antibody-VCC1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect VCC1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, VCC1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for VCC1 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of VCC1 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to VCC1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to VCC1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain VCC1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of VCC1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for VCC1    The protein encoded by this gene is a mucosal chemokine that attracts immature dendritic cells and blood monocytes to the lungs. The encoded protein also promotes tumorigenesis through an angiogenic activity. Finally, this protein exhibits strong antimicrobial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, Salmonella, P. aeruginosa, and C. albicans. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and the other non-protein coding, have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

UniProt Comments for VCC1    Chemokine that acts as chemoattractant for monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells (PubMed:16455961, PubMed:23115081). Plays a role in angiogenesis and possibly in the development of tumors (PubMed:16989774, PubMed:23115081). Acts as an anti-inflammatory in the stomach (PubMed:23115081). May play a role in the innate defense against infections (PubMed:17307946). Activates the C-X-C chemokine receptor GPR35 to induce a rapid and transient rise in the level of intracellular calcium ions (PubMed:25411203).
