Searchable Terms for ACP1 purchase    MBS929801 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the acid phosphatase 1, soluble (ACP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.312 mU/ml -20 mU/ml in biological research samples containing ACP1, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 0.078 mU/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS929801 kit is based on ACP1 antibody-ACP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ACP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ACP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for ACP1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ACP1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ACP1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ACP1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ACP1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for ACP1    The product of this gene belongs to the phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase family of proteins. It functions as an acid phosphatase and a protein tyrosine phosphatase by hydrolyzing protein tyrosine phosphate to protein tyrosine and orthophosphate. This enzyme also hydrolyzes orthophosphoric monoesters to alcohol and orthophosphate. This gene is genetically polymorphic, and three common alleles segregating at the corresponding locus give rise to six phenotypes. Each allele appears to encode at least two electrophoretically different isozymes, Bf and Bs, which are produced in allele-specific ratios. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
