Searchable Terms for ALPP purchase    MBS701995 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the alkaline phosphatase, placental (Regan isozyme) (ALPP) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 84 pg/ml -2000 pg/ml in biological research samples containing ALPP, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 34 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS701995 kit is based on ALPP antibody-ALPP antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ALPP antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ALPP. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%). One of four family members of human alkaline phosphases, human placental alkaline phosphatase ALPP or PLAP form is a heat stable tissue specific type protein highly expressed during pregnancy. Unlike other ALP family 1 members with expression in liver bone kidney, expression in adults is symptomatic for ovarian cancers or other diseases. To further understand this complex relationship, we recommend pairing IHC and alkaline phosphatase placental ALPP ELISA kit quantitation in your cell experiments. As the leading distributor for LSBio ELISA kits, our experience means you can have confidence that PLAP alkaline phosphatase ELISA is fast and accurate. We offer 48 or 96 tests assay formats and reduced bulk pricing - login to MyBiosource to inquire. All reagents are included, primary binding antibody, secondary antibodies and detection reagent. Related Product Information for ALPP elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for PLAP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody specific for PLAP. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PLAP bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for ALPP    There are at least four distinct but related alkaline phosphatases: intestinal, placental, placental-like, and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific). The first three are located together on chromosome 2 while the tissue non-specific form is located on chromosome 1. The product of this gene is a membrane bound glycosylated enzyme, also referred to as the heat stable form, that is expressed primarily in the placenta although it is closely related to the intestinal form of the enzyme as well as to the placental-like form. The coding sequence for this form of alkaline phosphatase is unique in that the 3' untranslated region contains multiple copies of an Alu family repeat. In addition, this gene is polymorphic and three common alleles (type 1, type 2 and type 3) for this form of alkaline phosphatase have been well characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
