Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human DBH. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human DBH and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
 Samples    Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates
 Assay Type    Competitive
 Detection Range    2.5 ng/ml -500 ng/ml.
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of human DBH is typically less than 1.25 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest human DBH concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Preparation and Storage    Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Other Notes    Small volumes of DBH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for DBH purchase    MBS703682 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the dopamine beta-hydroxylase (dopamine beta-monooxygenase) (DBH) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards render a theoretical kit detection range of 2.5 ng/ml -500 ng/ml in biological research samples containing DBH, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of human DBH is typically less than 1.25 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest human DBH concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS703682 kit is based on DBH antibody-DBH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DBH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DBH. Appropriate sample types include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for DBH elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for DBH and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated DBH. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled DBH and unlabeled DBH with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of DBH in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for DBH    The protein encoded by this gene is an oxidoreductase belonging to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family. It is present in the synaptic vesicles of postganglionic sympathetic neurons and converts dopamine to norepinephrine. It exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms, depending on the absence or presence, respectively, of a signal peptide. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
