Searchable Terms for ENO3 purchase    MBS931098 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich (Quantitative) ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the enolase 3 (beta, muscle) (ENO3) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.625 ng/ml-40 ng/ml in biological research samples containing ENO3, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 0.156 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS931098 kit is based on ENO3 antibody-ENO3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ENO3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ENO3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for ENO3    This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme is found in skeletal muscle cells in the adult where it may play a role in muscle development and regeneration. A switch from alpha enolase to beta enolase occurs in muscle tissue during development in rodents. Mutations in this gene have be associated glycogen storage disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

UniProt Comments for ENO3    ENO3: Appears to have a function in striated muscle development and regeneration. Defects in ENO3 are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 13 (GSD13). A metabolic disorder that results in exercise-induced myalgias, generalized muscle weakness and fatigability. It is characterized by increased serum creatine kinase and decreased enolase 3 activity. Dramatically reduced protein levels with focal sarcoplasmic accumulation of glycogen- beta particles are detected on ultrastructural analysis. Belongs to the enolase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
