Searchable Terms for NFATC1 purchase    MBS920738 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the nuclear factor of activated T-cells, cytoplasmic, calcineurin-dependent 1 (NFATC1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 25 pg/ml -1600 pg/ml in biological research samples containing NFATC1, with an estimated sensitivity of 6.25 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS920738 kit is based on NFATC1 antibody-NFATC1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NFATC1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NFATC1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for NFATC1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay||This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for NFATC1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NFATC1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NFATC1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NFATC1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for NFATC1    The product of this gene is a component of the nuclear factor of activated T cells DNA-binding transcription complex. This complex consists of at least two components: a preexisting cytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, and an inducible nuclear component. Proteins belonging to this family of transcription factors play a central role in inducible gene transcription during immune response. The product of this gene is an inducible nuclear component. It functions as a major molecular target for the immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin A. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Different isoforms of this protein may regulate inducible expression of different cytokine genes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for NFATC1    NFAT2: a transcription factor that plays a role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T cells, especially in the induction of the IL-2 and IL-4. Also control gene expression in embryonic cardiac cells. Could regulate not only the activation and proliferation but also the differentiation and programmed death of lymphoid and nonlymphoid cells. Six splice variant isoforms have been identified. Expressed in thymus, peripheral leukocytes as T-cells and spleen. Isoforms A are preferentially expressed in effector T-cells (thymus and peripheral leukocytes) whereas isoforms B and isoforms C are preferentially expressed in naive T-cells (spleen). Isoforms B are expressed in naive T-cells after first antigen exposure and isoforms A are expressed in effector T-cells after second antigen exposure.
