Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human PSPB. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human PSPB and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
Samples    Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates
 Assay Type    Sandwich
 Detection Range    3.12 ng/ml -200 ng/ml.
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of human PSPB is typically less than 0.78 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Preparation and Storage    Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PSG5 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PSG5 purchase    MBS701369 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the pregnancy specific beta-1-glycoprotein 5 (PSG5) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3.12 ng/ml -200 ng/ml in biological research samples containing PSG5, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of human PSPB is typically less than 0.78 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS701369 kit is based on PSG5 antibody-PSG5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PSG5 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PSG5. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for PSG5 elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for PSPB has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PSPB present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PSPB is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PSPB bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for PSG5    The human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins (PSGs) are a group of molecules that are mainly produced by the placental syncytiotrophoblasts during pregnancy. PSGs comprise a subgroup of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. For additional general information about the PSG gene family, see PSG1 (MIM 176390).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Research Articles on PSG5    1. show that human PSG1 binds alphaIIbbeta3 and inhibits the platelet - fibrinogen interaction. Unexpectedly, however, the KGD is not critical as multiple PSG1 domains independently bind and inhibit alphaIIbbeta3 function
