Searchable Terms for SYNE2 purchase    MBS932261 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the spectrin repeat containing, nuclear envelope 2 (SYNE2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 23.5 pg/ml-1500 pg/ml in biological research samples containing SYNE2, with an estimated sensitivity of 5.8 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS932261 kit is based on SYNE2 antibody-SYNE2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SYNE2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SYNE2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%). Maintaining cellular shape is the role of the cytoskeleton. Organelle localization requires tethering to this system. The nuclear envelope localized spectrin repeat nuclear envelope like protein, Nesprin 2 ( SYNE2 gene ), is crosslinked to F-actin and its expression plays a crucial role in sperm motility. Detection of this antigen in human cell or nuclear samples can be accomplished with a Nesp ELISA assay kit, vendor Promega. This ELISA kit product is specific for 2 Nesp 2 and not Nesprin 1 (1 SYNE1) or mouse proteins. Assay products include primary anti Nesp2 customize antibody, secondary HRP detection antibodies and a standard derived from sperm antigen. Typically these ELISA kits show excellent range, 23.5 pg/ml-1500 pg/ml, for 2 Nesp2 quantitation. SYNE2 ELISA kit is a distinct assay system Promega from the SYNE1 ELISA kits or ELISA kit spectrin beta, which may be found on the top of previous products lists.

Related Product Information for SYNE2 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for SYNE2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any SYNE2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for SYNE2 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SYNE2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for SYNE2    The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear outer membrane protein that binds cytoplasmic F-actin. This binding tethers the nucleus to the cytoskeleton and aids in the maintenance of the structural integrity of the nucleus. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

UniProt Comments for SYNE2    SYNE2: a nuclear transmembrane protein involved in the maintenance of nuclear organization and structural integrity. The largest part of the protein is cytoplasmic, while its C-terminal part is associated with the nuclear envelope, most probably the outer nuclear membrane. Remains associated with the nuclear envelope during its breakdown in mitotic cells. Probable anchoring protein which theters the nucleus to the cytoskeleton. Connects nuclei to the cytoskeleton by interacting with the nuclear envelope and with F-actin in the cytoplasm. Nine alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.
