Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of UXT elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for UXT purchase    MBS9327784 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the ubiquitously-expressed transcript (UXT) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing UXT. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9327784 kit is based on UXT antibody-UXT antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect UXT antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, UXT. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for UXT    The protein encoded by this gene functions as a cofactor that modulates androgen receptor-dependent transcription, and also plays a critical role in tumor necrosis factor-induced apoptosis. Expression of this gene may play a role in tumorigenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

UniProt Comments for UXT    UXT: Involved in gene transcription regulation. Acts in concert with the corepressor URI1 to regulate androgen receptor transcription (AR). AR N-terminus-associated coactivator which may play a role in facilitating receptor-induced transcriptional activation (PubMed:11854421). Potential component of mitochondrial-associated LRPPRC, a multidomain organizer that potentially integrates mitochondria and the microtubular cytoskeleton with chromosome remodeling (PubMed:11827465). Increasing concentrations of UXT contributes to progressive aggregation of mitochondria and cell death potentially through its association with LRPPRC (PubMed:17554592). May be a nuclear chaperone that promotes formation of the NF-kappa-B enhanceosome and which is essential for its nuclear function (PubMed:17620405). Suppresses cell transformation and it might mediate this function by interaction and inhibition of the biological activity of cell proliferation and survival stimulatory factors like MECOM (PubMed:17635584). Together with URI1, associates with chromatin to the NKX3-1 promoter region. Belongs to the UXT family.

Protein type: Nuclear receptor co-regulator; Transcription, coactivator/corepressor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp11.23-p11.22

Cellular Component: centrosome; cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; nucleus; gamma-tubulin complex

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; protein binding; microtubule binding; beta-tubulin binding; chromatin binding

Biological Process: transcription, DNA-dependent; centrosome organization and biogenesis; microtubule cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; mitochondrion transport along microtubule
