Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ZEB1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ZEB1 and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
Samples    Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates
 Assay Type    Sandwich
 Detection Range    25 pg/ml -1600 pg/ml.
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of human ZEB1 is typically less than 6.25 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of ZEB1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for ZEB1 purchase    MBS910271 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the zinc finger E-box binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 25 pg/ml -1600 pg/ml in biological research samples containing ZEB1, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of human ZEB1 is typically less than 6.25 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS910271 kit is based on ZEB1 antibody-ZEB1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ZEB1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ZEB1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for ZEB1 elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ZEB1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ZEB1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ZEB1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ZEB1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for ZEB1    This gene encodes a zinc finger transcription factor. The encoded protein likely plays a role in transcriptional repression of interleukin 2. Mutations in this gene have been associated with posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy-3 and late-onset Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

UniProt Comments for ZEB1    TCF8: Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Inhibits interleukin-2 (IL-2) gene expression. Enhances or represses the promoter activity of the ATP1A1 gene depending on the quantity of cDNA and on the cell type. Represses E-cadherin promoter and induces an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by recruiting SMARCA4/BRG1. Represses BCL6 transcription in the presence of the corepressor CTBP1. Positively regulates neuronal differentiation. Represses RCOR1 transcription activation during neurogenesis. Represses transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Promotes tumorigenicity by repressing stemness-inhibiting microRNAs. Interacts (via N-terminus) with SMARCA4/BRG1. Colocalizes with SMARCA4/BRG1 in E-cadherin- negative cells from established lines, and stroma of normal colon as well as in de-differentiated epithelial cells at the invasion front of colorectal carcinomas. Expressed in heart and skeletal muscle, but not in liver, spleen, or pancreas. Belongs to the delta-EF1/ZFH-1 C2H2-type zinc-finger family.
