Searchable Terms for Grb7 purchase    MBS2504909 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Grb7, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL in biological research samples containing Grb7, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 37.5pg/mL; Max: 4000pg/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2504909 kit is based on Grb7 antibody-Grb7 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Grb7 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, Grb7. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for Grb7 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Monkey Grb7 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Grb7. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Grb7 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Grb7, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Grb7. You can calculate the concentration of Grb7 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for Grb7    The product of this gene belongs to a small family of adapter proteins that are known to interact with a number of receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules. This gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that interacts with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and ephrin receptors. The protein plays a role in the integrin signaling pathway and cell migration by binding with focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

UniProt Comments for Grb7    GRB7: Adapter protein that interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of numerous receptor kinases and modulates down-stream signaling. Promotes activation of down-stream protein kinases, including STAT3, AKT1, MAPK1 and/or MAPK3. Promotes activation of HRAS. Plays a role in signal transduction in response to EGF. Plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation and cell migration. Plays a role in the assembly and stability of RNA stress granules. Binds to the 5'UTR of target mRNA molecules and represses translation of target mRNA species, when not phosphorylated. Phosphorylation impairs RNA binding and promotes stress granule disassembly during recovery after cellular stress. Homodimer. Interacts (via SH2 domain) with EGFR, ERBB2, ERBB3 (when phosphorylated), ERBB4 (when phosphorylated), EPHB1, INSR, FGFR1, PDGFRA (tyrosine phosphorylated) and PDGFRB (tyrosine phosphorylated). Interacts with SHC1. Interacts with RND1. Interacts (when tyrosine phosphorylated) with FHL2 and HAX1. Interacts (via SH2 domain) with RET and PTK2/FAK1. Interacts (when not phosphorylated) with ELAVL1. In stressed cells, but not in normal cells, part of a complex that contains at least GRB7, PTK2/FAK1, STAU1, ELAVL1 and TIA1. Interacts (via SH2 domain) with KIT (phosphorylated). Interacts (via SH2 domain) with TEK/TIE2 (tyrosine phosphorylated). Belongs to the GRB7/10/14 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q12

Cellular Component: cell projection; focal adhesion; stress granule; plasma membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; SH3/SH2 adaptor activity; RNA binding; protein kinase binding; phosphoinositide binding
