If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of IFN-gamma elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for IFN-gamma purchase    MBS764170 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich, Double Antibody ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Interferon Gamma (IFN-gamma) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 31.25-2000pg/ml in biological research samples containing IFN-gamma, with an estimated sensitivity of 18.75pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS764170 kit is based on IFN-gamma antibody-IFN-gamma antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IFN-gamma antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IFN-gamma. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for IFN-gamma elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- IFN-gamma antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- IFN-gamma antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the IFN-gamma amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of IFN-gamma can be calculated.

NCBI Summary for IFN-gamma    This gene encodes a soluble cytokine that is a member of the type II interferon class. The encoded protein is secreted by cells of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The active protein is a homodimer that binds to the interferon gamma receptor which triggers a cellular response to viral and microbial infections. Mutations in this gene are associated with an increased susceptibility to viral, bacterial and parasitic infections and to several autoimmune diseases. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

UniProt Comments for IFN-gamma    IFNG: Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens. IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons. Homodimer. Released primarily from activated T lymphocytes. Belongs to the type II (or gamma) interferon family.
