MBS2505158 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the P-Cadherin, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL in biological research samples containing P-Cadherin, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.094ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2505158 kit is based on P-Cadherin antibody-P-Cadherin antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect P-Cadherin antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, P-Cadherin. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Monkey P-Cadherin concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay||This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to P-Cadherin. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for P-Cadherin and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain P-Cadherin, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of P-Cadherin. You can calculate the concentration of P-Cadherin in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for P-Cadherin
|
|
This gene is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. This gene is located in a six-cadherin cluster in a region on the long arm of chromosome 16 that is involved in loss of heterozygosity events in breast and prostate cancer. In addition, aberrant expression of this protein is observed in cervical adenocarcinomas. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congential hypotrichosis with juvenile macular dystrophy. UniProt Comments for P-Cadherin
|
|
CDH3: Cadherins are calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. Interacts with CDCP1. Expressed in some normal epithelial tissues and in some carcinoma cell lines. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q22.1
Cellular Component: cell-cell adherens junction; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane
Molecular Function: calcium ion binding
Biological Process: positive regulation of insulin-like growth factor receptor signaling pathway; response to drug; intercellular junction assembly and maintenance; wound healing; positive regulation of melanin biosynthetic process; Wnt receptor signaling pathway through beta-catenin; hair cycle process; retinal homeostasis; negative regulation of transforming growth factor-beta2 production; cell-cell adhesion; negative regulation of catagen; positive regulation of monophenol monooxygenase activity; visual perception; keratinization; cell adhesion; homophilic cell adhesion
