Intended Uses    This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! It is intended to be determinated TF concentrations in Monkey serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Monkey TF antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add TF and TF antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of TF in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
 Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
 Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]

Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of TF elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for TF purchase    MBS046786 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Tissue Factor (TF) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 15.6 pg/ml - 500 pg/ml in biological research samples containing TF, with an estimated sensitivity of 2.0 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS046786 kit is based on TF antibody-TF antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TF antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TF. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TF    This gene encodes coagulation factor III which is a cell surface glycoprotein. This factor enables cells to initiate the blood coagulation cascades, and it functions as the high-affinity receptor for the coagulation factor VII. The resulting complex provides a catalytic event that is responsible for initiation of the coagulation protease cascades by specific limited proteolysis. Unlike the other cofactors of these protease cascades, which circulate as nonfunctional precursors, this factor is a potent initiator that is fully functional when expressed on cell surfaces. There are 3 distinct domains of this factor: extracellular, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic. This protein is the only one in the coagulation pathway for which a congenital deficiency has not been described. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for TF    F3: Initiates blood coagulation by forming a complex with circulating factor VII or VIIa. The [TF:VIIa] complex activates factors IX or X by specific limited protolysis. TF plays a role in normal hemostasis by initiating the cell-surface assembly and propagation of the coagulation protease cascade. Interacts with HSPE; the interaction, inhibited by heparin, promotes the generation of activated factor X and activates coagulation in the presence of activated factor VII. TF expression is highly dependent upon cell type. TF can also be induced by the inflammatory mediators interleukin 1 and TNF-alpha, as well as by endotoxin, to appear on monocytes and vascular endothelial cells as a component of cellular immune response. Lung, placenta and pancreas. Belongs to the tissue factor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell surface

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p22-p21

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; extracellular space; cell surface; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor activity; protein binding; protease binding; phospholipid binding

Biological Process: caspase activation; positive regulation of protein kinase B signaling cascade; activation of blood coagulation via clotting cascade; blood coagulation, extrinsic pathway; positive regulation of angiogenesis; activation of plasma proteins during acute inflammatory response; positive regulation of positive chemotaxis; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; positive regulation of endothelial cell proliferation; blood coagulation; positive regulation of cell migration
