Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of SLC7A7 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for SLC7A7 purchase    MBS7228917 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Y+L amino acid transporter 1 (SLC7A7) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1.0-25ng/mL in biological research samples containing SLC7A7, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7228917 kit is based on SLC7A7 antibody-SLC7A7 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SLC7A7 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SLC7A7. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for SLC7A7    The protein encoded by this gene is the light subunit of a cationic amino acid transporter. This sodium-independent transporter is formed when the light subunit encoded by this gene dimerizes with the heavy subunit transporter protein SLC3A2. This transporter is found in epithelial cell membranes where it transfers cationic and large neutral amino acids from the cell to the extracellular space. Defects in this gene are a cause of lysinuric protein intolerance (LPI). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

UniProt Comments for SLC7A7    SLC7A7: Involved in the sodium-independent uptake of dibasic amino acids and sodium-dependent uptake of some neutral amino acids. Requires coexpression with SLC3A2/4F2hc to mediate the uptake of arginine, leucine and glutamine. Plays a role in nitric oxide synthesis in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) via transport of L-arginine. Involved in the transport of L- arginine in monocytes. Defects in SLC7A7 are the cause of lysinuric protein intolerance (LPI). LPI is an autosomal recessive multisystem disorder found mainly in Finland and Italy. On a normal diet, LPI patients present poor feeding, vomiting, diarrhea, episodes of hyperammoniaemic coma and growth retardation. Hepatosplenomegaly, osteoporosis and a life- threatening pulmonary involvement (alveolar proteinosis) are also seen. Biochemically LPI is characterized by a defect in the plasma membrane transport of dibasic amino acids. Belongs to the amino acid-polyamine-organocation (APC) superfamily. L-type amino acid transporter (LAT) (TC 2.A.3.8) family.
