Searchable Terms for C1q purchase    MBS261778 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Anti-Complement 1q Antibody Anti-Complement 1q Antibody (Anti-C1q) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 100 U/L-1.56 U/L in biological research samples containing C1q, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.5 U/L. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS261778 kit is based on C1q antibody-C1q antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect C1q antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, C1q. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Mouse serum, plasma or Cell Culture Supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant Anti-C1q concentration. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for C1q elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse Anti-C1q monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for C1q    This gene encodes a major constituent of the human complement subcomponent C1q. C1q associates with C1r and C1s in order to yield the first component of the serum complement system. A deficiency in C1q has been associated with lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis. C1q is composed of 18 polypeptide chains: six A-chains, six B-chains, and six C-chains. Each chain contains a collagen-like region located near the N-terminus, and a C-terminal globular region. The A-, B-, and C-chains are arranged in the order A-C-B on chromosome 1. This gene encodes the C-chain polypeptide of human complement subcomponent C1q. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for C1q    C1QC: C1q associates with the proenzymes C1r and C1s to yield C1, the first component of the serum complement system. The collagen-like regions of C1q interact with the Ca(2+)-dependent C1r(2)C1s(2) proenzyme complex, and efficient activation of C1 takes place on interaction of the globular heads of C1q with the Fc regions of IgG or IgM antibody present in immune complexes. Defects in C1QC are a cause of complement component C1q deficiency (C1QD). A rare defect resulting in C1 deficiency and impaired activation of the complement classical pathway. C1 deficiency generally leads to severe immune complex disease with features of systemic lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36.11

Cellular Component: extracellular space; collagen; extracellular region
