Searchable Terms for CD97 purchase    MBS2507901 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD97, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.781-50ng/mL in biological research samples containing CD97, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 0.469ng/mL; Max: 50ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2507901 kit is based on CD97 antibody-CD97 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CD97 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CD97. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for CD97 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse CD97 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CD97. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for CD97 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain CD97, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of CD97. You can calculate the concentration of CD97 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for CD97    This gene encodes a member of the EGF-TM7 subfamily of adhesion G protein-coupled receptors, which mediate cell-cell interactions. These proteins are cleaved by self-catalytic proteolysis into a large extracellular subunit and seven-span transmembrane subunit, which associate at the cell surface as a receptor complex. The encoded protein may play a role in cell adhesion as well as leukocyte recruitment, activation and migration, and contains multiple extracellular EGF-like repeats which mediate binding to chondroitin sulfate and the cell surface complement regulatory protein CD55. Expression of this gene may play a role in the progression of several types of cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms with 3 to 5 EGF-like repeats have been observed for this gene. This gene is found in a cluster with other EGF-TM7 genes on the short arm of chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
