Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact technical support.
Other Notes    Small volumes of CAPZB elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for CAPZB purchase    MBS7243959 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the F-actin-capping protein subunit beta (CAPZB) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CAPZB. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7243959 kit is based on CAPZB antibody-CAPZB antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CAPZB antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CAPZB. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CAPZB    This gene encodes the beta subunit of the barbed-end actin binding protein, which belongs to the F-actin capping protein family. The capping protein is a heterodimeric actin capping protein that blocks actin filament assembly and disassembly at the fast growing (barbed) filament ends and functions in regulating actin filament dynamics as well as in stabilizing actin filament lengths in muscle and nonmuscle cells. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 2. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]

UniProt Comments for CAPZB    CAPZB: F-actin-capping proteins bind in a Ca(2+)-independent manner to the fast growing ends of actin filaments (barbed end) thereby blocking the exchange of subunits at these ends. Unlike other capping proteins (such as gelsolin and severin), these proteins do not sever actin filaments. Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Belongs to the F-actin-capping protein beta subunit family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Actin-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36.1

Cellular Component: F-actin capping protein complex; sarcomere; cytoskeleton; actin filament; cytosol; actin cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; actin binding

Biological Process: regulation of cell morphogenesis; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; barbed-end actin filament capping; cell motility; blood coagulation; actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; negative regulation of filopodium formation
