Other Notes    Small volumes of FADD elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FADD purchase    MBS927150 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Fas (TNFRSF6) -associated via death domain (FADD) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 25 pg/ml-1600 pg/ml in biological research samples containing FADD, with an estimated sensitivity of 6.25 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS927150 kit is based on FADD antibody-FADD antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FADD antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FADD. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for FADD    FADD: an adaptor molecule that mediates apoptosis. Recruited through its C-terminal death domain by Fas-receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor, TNFRSF25, and TRAIL-receptor, participating in the death signaling initiated by these receptors. Interaction with the receptors unmasks the N-terminal effector domain of this protein, which recruits caspase-8, and thereby activates the cysteine protease cascade. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the importance of this protein in early T cell development.

Protein type: Apoptosis; Adaptor/scaffold

Cellular Component: neuron projection; protein complex; cytoplasm; CD95 death-inducing signaling complex; cytosol; lipid raft

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; protease binding; death receptor binding; protein complex binding; tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily binding; tumor necrosis factor receptor binding

Biological Process: spleen development; cardiac muscle development; thymus development; positive regulation of T cell mediated cytotoxicity; immune system process; positive regulation of proteolysis; protein heterooligomerization; apoptosis; positive regulation of apoptosis; T cell differentiation in the thymus; signal transduction; positive regulation of tumor necrosis factor production; positive regulation of activated T cell proliferation; lymph node development; positive regulation of interleukin-8 production; regulation of apoptosis; positive regulation of interferon-gamma production; innate immune response; T cell homeostasis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of macrophage differentiation; defense response to virus; positive regulation of adaptive immune response; T cell differentiation
