If the format of this assay is important to you then please contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay.
Other Notes    Small volumes of FSH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FSH purchase    MBS452569 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3.12-200ng/mL in biological research samples containing FSH, with an estimated sensitivity of <1.49ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS452569 kit is based on FSH antibody-FSH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FSH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FSH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for FSH elisa kit

Intended Uses: The kit is a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of FSH in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to FSH has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled FSH and unlabeled FSH (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to FSH. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample.

NCBI Summary for FSH    The pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. All of these glycoproteins consist of an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit. This gene encodes the beta subunit of follicle-stimulating hormone. In conjunction with luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone induces egg and sperm production. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
