Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of GLUT-1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for GLUT-1 purchase    MBS724860 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Glucose Transporter 1 (GLUT-1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing GLUT-1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS724860 kit is based on GLUT-1 antibody-GLUT-1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GLUT-1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GLUT-1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%). Cell require energy. Mitochondria provide ATP but as input glucose is needed. Glucose transporter 1 GLUT1 - aka solute carrier family 2 - acts as a facilitated glucose transporter across cell membranes. However, it also binds and transports HTLV leading to disease. Quantitation of this and related glucose transporter member proteins, is possible with a precision SLC2a1 GLUT 1 ELISA kit from MyBiosource. For the most accurate assay of your valuable samples, trust us to provide the highest quality, with best intra assay precision of any ELISA kits available today. Our human SLC 2a kits are complete with antibody bound plate wells or strips, secondary antibodies, assay diluent, standard curve recombinant protein, wash buffer, detection reagent substrate and stop solution. With LLD of 5ng ml, we exceed any GLUT1 ELISA kit. Excellent for comparative studies of IHC localization. Order your solute carrier family 2 facilitated glucose transporter kit today.

UniProt Comments for GLUT-1    GLUT1: an integral membrane protein that plays an important role in the glycolytic pathway by serving as a uniporter for glucose. One of 13 members of the human equilibrative glucose transport protein family. Transports a wide range of aldoses, including both pentoses and hexoses, and dehydroascorbic acid. Shown to transport water against an osmotic gradient. A receptor for the Human T-cell Leukemia virus (HTLV). Plays a role in the constitutive or basal uptake of glucose. Expressed at highest levels in proliferating cells of the early developing embryo, cells forming the blood tissue barriers, in human erythrocytes, astrocytes and in cardiac muscle. GLUT1 and GLUT3 are both essential for normal embryonic development. Is practically the only member of the GLUT family expressed on human red blood cells, where it comprises 10 - 20% of the integral membrane protein content. Several glycolytic proteins including the transporters GLUT1 and GLUT3, as well as multiple enzymes including HK2, PFKL, LDHA, ALDOA, ALDOC, PGK1, ENO1, PKM2, CA9 and PFKFB3 are induced in cancer cells by HIF-1 alpha. Polyps from Peutz-Jeghers patients exhibit up-regulated mTORC1 signaling, HIF-1alpha, and GLUT1 levels. Defects in GLUT1 are the cause of autosomal dominant GLUT1 deficiency syndrome, a blood-brain barrier glucose transport defect characterized by infantile seizures, delayed development, and acquired microcephaly. Defects also cause dystonia type 18, an exercise-induced paroxysmal dystonia/dyskinesia. Cytochalasin B binds to its inner surface, inhibiting its glucose transport activity with an IC50 of 0.44 uM.
