We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PG elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PG purchase    MBS263268 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Peptidoglycan (PG) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 200 ng/ml-3.12 ng/ml in biological research samples containing PG, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.6 ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS263268 kit is based on PG antibody-PG antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PG antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PG. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Mouse serum, plasma or cell culture supernatant. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for PG elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse PG monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for PG    This gene encodes a peptidoglycan recognition protein, which belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family. These proteins are part of the innate immune system and recognize peptidoglycan, a ubiquitous component of bacterial cell walls. This protein binds to murein peptidoglycans of Gram-positive bacteria. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

UniProt Comments for PG    PGLYRP3: Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram- negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram- negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity. Belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family.
